Rounding started in RKNagar: 7.32% was recorded in 9 hours

Chennai: RK Nagar, the day-to-day rally, will begin at 8 am today (Dec. 21). Dialogue is to be held till 5 PM. According to Election Commission, 7.32 per cent voting was recorded at 9 am.

The RK Nagar constituency has been empty for over a year after the death of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The by-election was canceled due to a complaint filed in April this year. Elections are taking place today. On behalf of AIADMK, Madhusudhanan, DMK's Marudukkanesh, BJP, Karu Nagarajan are contesting. Dinakaran is contesting independently. A total of 59 candidates are in the field. 2,28,234 people are in the running. People are standing in a long queue.

In RKNagar, 51 centers are running 258 Drives. Tamil Nadu police and paramilitary forces were involved in the security operation. A total of 295 control control equipment and 320 acknowledgments have been used. More than 3,000 police have been deployed in the security services.

Today's polls will be counted on December 24 and the results will be announced.
