The decision was taken by the IPL Executive Committee meeting on December 6 in New Delhi. Subsequently, the details of the auction were reviewed and published after the general meeting of the BCCI.
Accordingly, each team can retain a maximum of 5 players. All the players should inform the retired players by January 4.
Around Rs 80 crore has been allocated for the bidders of each team. At least 75 percent (Rs. 60 crore) must be spent on it. Last year, IPL bid was Rs 66 crore.
The auction for the 11th season of IPL will be held on January 27 and 28 at Bangalore. At that time, the Indian team played in the South African series.
